Sharesource Office

Sharesource Office – Interior Workspace Design (Scheme 1)

Client: Confidential Private Client
Project Type: Office Interior Design and Visualization
Location: JP Laurel Avenue, Davao City, Philippines
Date: November 2019

The Sharesource Office, located along JP Laurel Avenue in Davao City, Philippines, was designed as a contemporary workspace that blends eco-conscious principles with an industrial inspired interior aesthetic. The concept reinterprets the traditional corporate office by creating a relaxed, café-like environment where natural textures, recycled materials, and modern elements coexist in balance.

The interior composition highlights reclaimed brick walls, exposed concrete finishes, and steel framed glass partitions that define functional zones while maintaining visual openness throughout the workspace. A defining architectural element is the fluted wood ceiling, which introduces warmth and rhythm to the otherwise industrial palette while concealing lighting and mechanical systems above the workspace.

Workstations were constructed using repurposed shipping crates combined with steel frames and glass surfaces, reinforcing the project’s sustainable narrative. The open plan arrangement allows daylight to travel across the interior while maintaining clear circulation between the lobby, administration area, production workspace, conference room, and lounge.

The project documentation and spatial development were executed using AutoCAD, translating the conceptual layout into precise architectural drawings. Visualization and presentation were produced using 3DS Max with the V-Ray render engine, generating detailed renderings that communicate the material atmosphere and spatial experience of the office environment.

Design Themes

  • Industrial interior aesthetic using reclaimed brick and exposed concrete
  • Fluted wood ceiling creating warmth and spatial rhythm
  • Repurposed shipping crate furniture reinforcing sustainable design
  • Glass partitions maintaining openness while defining work zones

The result is a modern collaborative workspace where industrial materiality, sustainability, and contemporary office planning converge to create a functional yet visually engaging environment.

Sharesource Office – Interior Workspace Design (Scheme 2)

Scheme 2 represents a refined evolution of the original Sharesource Office interior concept. While Scheme 1 established the project’s industrial character through reclaimed brick walls, exposed concrete, and steel framed glass partitions, Scheme 2 shifts the spatial experience toward a cleaner and more contemporary interpretation of the same workspace environment. The revised scheme maintains the open office planning strategy while simplifying the material palette and strengthening the visual continuity throughout the interior.

In comparison to the heavier textures of Scheme 1, Scheme 2 introduces smoother plastered surfaces combined with warm wood finishes to create a calmer and more controlled interior atmosphere. The defining fluted wood ceiling remains a central architectural element, continuing the visual rhythm across the workspace while concealing lighting fixtures and mechanical systems. This ceiling feature acts as a unifying plane that connects the lobby, administration area, conference rooms, and production spaces.

Workstations continue to utilize the concept of repurposed shipping crate furniture first introduced in Scheme 1, reinforcing the project’s sustainable narrative. However, in this scheme the furniture layout is organized with greater symmetry and spacing, allowing clearer circulation paths and improved visual order within the production area. Glass partitions with frosted horizontal bands define meeting rooms and offices while maintaining transparency and daylight distribution across the workspace.

Integrated planter boxes and indoor vegetation remain part of the design strategy, acting as natural dividers between circulation and work areas while improving the spatial quality of the office environment. Vertical wooden screens and shelving elements are also introduced to soften transitions between departments, creating layered visual depth without fully enclosing the spaces.

Overall, Scheme 2 builds upon the conceptual foundation of Scheme 1 by refining the balance between industrial character and contemporary workplace comfort. The updated material approach, improved workstation organization, and clearer spatial hierarchy create a workspace that feels more cohesive, efficient, and visually composed while maintaining the project’s sustainable design narrative.

Design Development Highlights

  • Refined material palette transitioning from raw industrial to warm contemporary finishes
  • Fluted wood ceiling retained as the primary architectural feature
  • Improved workstation layout and circulation organization
  • Glass partitions with frosted bands defining meeting spaces
  • Planters and wood screens introducing natural spatial separation

The result is a second design scheme that maintains the identity of the original concept while enhancing clarity, spatial flow, and workplace comfort within the Sharesource Office interior.
